Easter

“Do not be alarmed, you seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here, see the place where they laid him” (Mark 16:6).

“He is risen!” I doubt there are any other words ever spoken that sounded as sweet as these three. Imagine walking to the tomb after witnessing the events of the past couple of days. You were there, you heard Him speak His final words and you watched Him take His final breath. You knew He was dead and as it was with so many, your hopes and dreams died that day as well.
You make your way to the tomb thinking one thing and you get there and discover something totally different. You leave home still filled with despair and hopelessness; you return home encouraged and hopeful.
This is what Easter is about. It is about giving us hope and courage in a world gone mad. Maybe you feel like you life is spiraling out of control and all hope is gone; let me challenge you to make your way to where Jesus is. These ladies got a glimpse of resurrection power and it radically changed their lives. I believe if we will catch a fresh glimpse of resurrection power it will change our lives as well.
Easter is about hope; because of His resurrection we have hope for today as well as hope for tomorrow. Hear those words with a newfound freshness, “He is risen! He is not here…”

I Love You!
Pastor Mike
